Wedding Favour Ideas: Wedding Favour Biscuits
Weddings can be expensive, so wherever corners can be cut, without ruining the elegance of the day, it is best to do so. One of the best ways to save some money is by making the wedding favours. A popular homemade wedding favour for all wedding guests is biscuits. It can be simple, yet elegant, and it is something that can easily be done at home a few days prior to the big wedding date. There are many options that bride and grooms can select from, and who does not like a good biscuit? To dress up the biscuit, a wide variety of frostings and biscuit decoration kits can be used, and they do not cost a lot of money. To dress up the biscuit, individuals can wrap them in organza, ribbons, and tulle bags.
One of the most popular biscuits is tuxedo and wedding gown Oreos. It is very simple – set aside two Oreos for each guest. Dip one Oreo in white chocolate, letting it dry mostly, and then adding silver sprinkles to look like a necklace. With the second biscuit, dip it in dark chocolate and then paint on it a small white bowtie using white chocolate. When the biscuits are dry, place them in a tulle bag for each guest. Individuals do not have to use Oreos as any biscuit will do just fine.
Another great biscuit idea for wedding favours is petit fours. They are small cakes cut into a wide variety of different shapes. The couple can experiment with different flavors of cake, whatever they enjoy and just bake it normally. When it is done and cool, it can be cut into different shapes. Some opt to keep the shape as a square or rectangle, some do circles, or, because the day is about love, make the wakes into small hearts. It is best to use fondant icing on the small petit fours because they dry hard and provide a smooth surface for further decorations, such as small silver balls or small hard sugar flowers. The icing that is selected can match the colors of the wedding. The petit fours should then be placed in small boxes to be presented to each wedding guest.
A fun and fresh idea is a biscuit on a stick. Individuals prepare normal sugar cookie dough or buy it premade, as well as a number of wooden sticks that can be used to make lollipops. Buy cookie cutters to make different shapes, such as hearts, flowers, or bells, and cut out the down. Before putting the biscuits into the oven, place the stick on them. Bake the biscuits according to the recipe guidelines. After they are done and cooled, they can be decorated. It is best to select frosting what does not stay moist but hardens as it dries to prevent it from smudging on the cookies. Take a little bit of cellophane to wrap the top of the cookie, tie the bottom with a ribbon and it makes a wonderful wedding favour.

Favor box designing/representation help needed!?
My fiance and I are DIY our own favors. We are making gel candles in sqaure votives. The gel will be a chartreuse green and will most likely have some embeds as well (still looking for those).
I want to place the votives into clear favor boxes and then have them packaged with black favor wrapping. I'm not certain where to go from here though. I would like to wrap the black box in maybe some white tulle? But I had also planned to place our circle monogram sticker on the box.
Do you think I should place the sticker on the top of the inner clear box and then tie the black box with white tulle or ribbon?
My other concern is that I'd love to incorporate our honeymoon destination into the favors somehow. We're leaving for Jamaica after the wedding, and our wedding colors are black, white, and a sort of citron green. Do you think this is wise to do? How could I do this without throwing off the wedding scheme?
Thanks!
Answer:
I would place the sticker on the outside black wrapping, and don't wrap it in tulle. It would be too much. It will have a much better effect not wrapped in the tulle. I might tie the box with ribbon (maybe the green) and place the sticker over the ribbon. much like this one:

For the Jamaica thing, you could add little touches of yellow in with the colors (like the black/green/yellow Jamaican flag)
