Is crinoline similar to tulle?
I want to work on this simplicity pattern but the fabric needed is crinoline and I just wanted to know if it is similar to tulle or nylon.
Answer:
Crinoline is more like the very stiff and scratchy netting that you would find ballet tutu's made from for Halloween costumes. Tulle is much finer and softer Witha more fabric like feel.

What to Wear Under Wedding Dress
As a bride-to-be, you must have rehearsed your wedding ceremony on your mind a million times. Apart from romantic fantasy, have you ever imagined the following situations? Secondly, reach your dress. Look at your wedding dress, is it a sleeveless dress of a strapless dress? Is it a ball gown, A-line, or mermaid dress? Or you prefer a mini sundress?
Thirdly, let's get to know things to wear under a wedding dress.
The long-line bra
The strong elastic support around the waist helps to hold your volume in and lift your boobs up. It's good for gowns with sleeves or straps. Also work well with big breast.
The strapless bra
It's best for strapless gowns and suits the girls who don't require a waist-line control.
The nu-bra
This is an adhesive silicone-based bra which looks realistic. It's best for low back or backless gowns. If you're allergic to adhesive materials, stay away from the nu-bra.
The hoop skirt
Think Cinderella. Hoop skirts are made by cotton and hold enclosed hoops within their stitches. Nowadays, people don't use whalebone any more, instead, the hoops are made of lightweight plastic or nylon. Since lighter materials are used, the hoop skirts are lighter than before. It suits ball gowns very well. Sometimes, the large A-line dresses apply this petticoat as well.
Tips
Practice sitting down before you wear this hoop skirt officially.
Don't wear thongs which may expose your little secret while dancing.
The crinoline
The old crinoline is made of wire and fabric. Today, a so-called crinoline is no longer the ancient garment any more. It's made of layers of chic tulle or net, and designers even add flexible hoops to it. If you want luxurious or romantic volume on your dress, wear a crinoline under your ball gown. You will be the most stunning princess on your wedding day!
The petticoat
It adds volume to a gown and can hold a good shape. Made of nylon, cotton, tulle and net, it's best for adding volume without built-in netting. If you want even more volume under your dress, you may apply a petticoat over top of a hoop skirt.
The slip
It's best for sheer dresses and sensitive skin.
Tips
Don't wear a too big slip which will bunch under your gown.
